Ross Simonini is a writer, artist, musician, and dialogist

His first novel, The Book of Formation was published by Melville House Books in 2017.

He's exhibited his art at the Sharjah Biennial, Jack Hanley, Shoot the Lobster, Human Resources, Kimberly Klark and on.

He is half of the band NewVillager,  is currently at work on a song cycle as ROOS, and was once a member of Trespassers William.

He regularly writes for a variety of publications and is currently a monthly interviewer for ArtReview.

He teaches seminars at Columbia University and California College of the Arts on sound, speaking and experimental process.

Since 2007, he has served as the interviews editor of The Believer.  

 

From 2014-2019, he produced five seasons of KCRW's The Organist

In 2016, he was the audio-artist-in-residence at SFMOMA and produced/hosted a season of Raw Material.

He holds degrees in music composition, physics, and writing from the University of California and Bennington College.

He does not  live by any system of thought, belief, or certainty.
